The Breath of Love

I am just completing a new collection of paintings focused on expressions of Divine love.

Only one love- Divine Love.

All aspects of love are just reflections and fragments of Divine love. I imagine myself blowing the bubbles of light and allowing myself to absorb each reflection that contains the creative material of the universe.

My artwork reflects my wrestling with ideas (Like Jacob with the Angel , Genesis 31-32) that are profound and beautiful but can challenge my experiences in the world.

The Angels stand guard, watching and protecting the most precious breath of love. Each line and detail reminds me of the intricate beauty that makes up the web of life.

Notes on the pattern:

  • The wing of the angel is filled with the pattern of the Petoskey stone as a reminder of light.

  • The word Petoskey is an English approximation of Bidasiga, a Native American Indian word that means 'Rays of the Living Sun.'
