Olde Ipswich Days July 24-26, 2026 & The Great Blue Heron

I am hard at work getting ready for this year's annual arts and crafts fair, "Olde Ipswich Days" which will run through the weekend of July 24-26. This year I will be sharing new works in watercolor and block prints, hand printed tea towels & aprons as well as new ceramic tiles and more!

Unraveling the Beauty of the Great Blue Heron

For many years, the Great Blue Heron has been a cherished presence in my life. Residing near the Ipswich River, the Great Marsh, and Crane Beach has afforded me numerous opportunities to observe this majestic bird in its natural habitat.

When standing still in the water, blending seamlessly with the soft blues and greens of its surroundings, the Great Blue Heron exudes a calm and confident energy that resonates deeply. This bird embodies self-reliance and the strength to stand independently, symbolizing personal growth and progress.

The Heron's message of self-determination reminds us that even the smallest steps forward are significant. This painting serves as a gentle reminder that any progress, no matter how small, is

meaningful. It encourages us to embrace our individuality, celebrate our unique beauty, and

recognize that we have something valuable to offer the world.

Take a moment to stand still, savor the summer greens and pastel skies, and remember that we

can take flight whenever we choose.

Come and join us for our 54th Annual Olde Ipswich Days Art & Crafts Fair 2026 located at the South Village Green in Ipswich, Friday, July 24,Saturday, July 25 (10-5pm) & Sunday, July 26 (10-4pm)! there will be over 55 booths harvesting a variety of very talented artists and crafters, selling their handcrafted items. Such as jewelry, quilts, pottery, paintings, aprons, candles, wood creations, jams & so much more! After shopping, grab a bite to eat from one of our food vendors, including hamburgers, and hotdogs, slush, fudge, and Whoopie pies! This promises to be a great event, so mark your calendars, and we look forward to seeing you there! This is an outdoor event is held rain or shine.
